Los Angeles (+16) over SEATTLE – Too many points to leave on the board, even though I could totally see a Russell Wilson rebound against the suddenly rudderless Rams. Seahawks 27, Rams 14
NEW YORK JETS (+2.5) over Miami – Saturday football! Even if Ryan Tannehill was healthy, I’d think about the Jets in this renewal of the “Squish the Fish” rivalry. Without him, I’m definitely smelling upset. Jets 22, Dolphins 20
Tampa Bay (+7) over DALLAS – Imagine the entire Cowboys fan base turning on Dak Prescott if he plays like a rookie again. I need something to de-rail this team. Buccaneers 30, Cowboys 28
NEW YORK GIANTS (-4) over Detroit – If the Giants were ever going to have a let-down, it would be this week after beating division foe Dallas last week. Giants 28, Lions 23
Philadelphia (+6) over BALTIMORE – I saw a columnist in Philly this week suggesting the Eagles bench Carson Wentz so they don’t damage his psyche against the vaunted Ravens defense. I’d argue that you hurt him more if you don’t play the guy. To me, the perception would be one of weakness, not the leadership you expect from a franchise quarterback. Eagles 20, Ravens 19
Green Bay (-6) over CHICAGO – Guess we should have listened to Aaron Rodgers when he said the Packers could run the table and win the North. Certainly looking like a strong possibility. Packers 30, Bears 15
MINNESOTA (-4.5) over Indianapolis – Even though I’ll be pulling for the Colts for reasons previously documented in this medium, I don’t see them going into Minnesota and beating the Vikings, with or without Adrian Peterson and his meniscus. Vikings 24, Colts 16
BUFFALO (-10) over Cleveland – I’ve heard various people on sports talk radio this week saying it’s hard to go 0-and-16. Apparently nobody told the Browns that, because they’re making it look easy. Bills 27, Browns 11
KANSAS CITY (-5.5) over Tennessee – Kansas City may be the most complete team in the loaded AFC. Can you imagine if they fall to the #5 seed? They’d play… Chiefs 24, Titans 17
HOUSTON (-6) over Jacksonville – …the winner of the sad sack AFC South in the first round, which could very well be the Texans – again. Houston 20, Jaguars 13
New Orleans (+2.5) over ARIZONA – Rarely does Drew Brees toss consecutive air balls, and he missed the whole backboard last week. Saints 30, Cardinals 23
San Francisco (+13.5) over ATLANTA – Like the Rams-Seahawks game, just too many points to leave on the board. Falcons 27, 49ers 17
New England (-3) over DENVER – Rematch of last year’s AFC championship game, but I doubt Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are the type to seek revenge for a game like that…oh wait… Patriots 41, Broncos 20
Oakland (-6) over SAN DIEGO – Sounds like the Chargers will be headed to Los Angeles next season, not a good week to try to fall back on a home field advantage. Raiders 28, Chargers 20
Pittsburgh (-3) over CINCINNATI – Speaking of playoff rematches, wouldn’t it be fitting if the Bengals imploded again? Steelers 33, Bengals 24
WASHINGTON (-6.5) over Carolina – I hate picking other teams in the NFC East, but the Panthers aren’t really giving me a choice here. Redskins 30, Panthers 23
Week 14: 10-6 Straight up; 9-6-1 Against the spread
2016 Season: 127-79-2; 107-99-2
