KANSAS CITY (-3.5) over Oakland – Finally a Thursday night game worth watching. Kansas City may be the best team nobody is talking about, at least not yet. Chiefs 24, Raiders 20
TENNESSEE (-1) over Denver – Meanwhile, the third wheel in the AFC West race is a road dog in Tennessee. Think Tony Romo has started shopping for real estate in Denver yet, or do you think he’ll just rent out Peyton’s place? Titans 23, Broncos 21
San Diego (+1.5) over CAROLINA – I think the Panthers might have mailed it in, and this is a bit of a homecoming for Phil Rivers. Chargers 25, Panthers 19
Houston (+6) over INDIANAPOLIS – Part one of the AFC South round robin tournament commences this weekend in Indianapolis. The Colts looked legit on Monday, though they were playing the Jets so take that with a grain of salt. Colts 27, Texans 24
Cincinnati (-5.5) over CLEVELAND – Robert Griffin III (!) will start the game for the Browns. The big question is whether or not he’ll finish it. Bengals 20, Browns 13
Pittsburgh (-2) over BUFFALO – I actually struggled with this one, as the Steelers may have lost their “pick until proven otherwise” status. I’ll give it one more week, even if Buffalo is going to be under two feet of snow. Steelers 26, Bills 23
MIAMI (-1) over Arizona – Essentially a pick ‘em, and between Ryan Tannehill and Carson Palmer there will likely be a few tossed around Hard Rock Stadium. Dolphins 22, Cardinals 20
DETROIT (-8) over Chicago – Last week was the first game Detroit won this season without having to come from behind in the fourth quarter. If it didn’t happen last week, it likely would have happened this Sunday. Lions 28, Bears 17
JACKSONVILLE (+3.5) over Minnesota – I’ve officially shifted into “Root Against Minnesota” mode since we have their pick. Might as well call for the upset then. Jaguars 17, Vikings 16
TAMPA BAY (-2.5) over New Orleans – If they’re not careful, the Buccaneers might find themselves in the playoffs. Buccaneers 31, Saints 27
PHILADELPHIA (+1) over Washington – Because…well, you know. Eagles 24, Redskins 23
SAN FRANCISCO (-2.5) over New York Jets – The loser wins...the #2 pick in April’s draft. 49ers 20, Jets 17
Seattle (-3) over GREEN BAY – After KC-Oakland, this is probably the most intriguing game of the weekend. How will Seattle fare without Earl Thomas? Can Aaron Rodgers continue his resurgence against the Seahawks defense? This line is talking to me. Seahawks 29, Packers 23
Atlanta (-6) over LOS ANGELES – Some bad mojo around the Rams right now, with the whole Eric Dickerson-Jeff Fisher thing. Plus Fisher has been answering questions all week about his contract extension. Not exactly a team that seems focused. Falcons 33, Rams 19
NEW YORK GIANTS (+3) over Dallas – The only team that has beaten Dallas this year gets to try to duplicate that feat. Giants 27, Cowboys 24
NEW ENGLAND (-7) over Baltimore – While they’ve had some good playoff battles in the past, I don’t expect this one to be that close. Patriots 31, Ravens 16
Week 13: 9-6 Straight up; 10-5 Against the spread
2016 Season: 117-73-2; 98-93-1
